![]() ![]() I'll report back after I get back from work on whether the Youtube tip worked out or not. ![]() ![]() Please have in mind your suggestion DOES need to be Proton/SteamPlay compatible, so we can all benefit from it on Linux. Or will it?īut if you'd like to recommend something else, feel free to do it here. It requires replacing some files from the client folder, which Steam may or may not detect as something else It also requires to launch a few BAT files (possible the ones to start up an offline server) along with the game, so chances are this will not work on SteamPlay. After some googling, I've managed to find this great mod on Youtube but I need to give it a shot. While they wont come to BF4 (even if they did the old gen consoles would probably hold them back and the game is 1,1/2 years old anyways) they could be an excellent addition to future Battlefield titles and appeal. They allow for a very balanced game so most rounds wont be very 1 sided. So before making a mess with my Bad Company 2 files I bought off Steam, I was wondering whether the community has a (working) BOT that enables a working, offline multiplayer on Linux. Bots dont cheat, camp or spam as much as many players do. OK so I know this thread is like SUPER late to the party, but because Bad Company 2 is so well-made AND it runs flawlessly thanks to Proton/SteamPlay, I was wondering what to do after I was done with the single-player campaign.Īnd because Bad Company 2 is super old, chances are multiplayer will be empty, IF it's still a thing, if you think about EA's crappy "this game is no longer up to par to our standards" excuse - the same they used to shut down Need for Speed: World multiplayer servers. ![]()
